i cannot deny my love of pants

remember me?

hey, it's been awhile, but i'm still here. just like to fill you in on somethings:

Thursdays are getting rowdier and rowdier at my place. soon, i'll need to tear down a wall and add some more floor space because so many people that love me keep coming over (there is, however, fewer people around when Sam doesn't cook... hmm...).

my overdue review of the Hulk will be up shortly. here's a sneak peek: it sucked.

Sam and i have entered a campaign in which we fight the hordes of dust bunnies and piles of stuff as to beautify our apartment.

there will be a new episode of 'Comic Shop Blues' up relatively soon as well. it will entail some sort of joke involving comic books.

my CyberPunk game is completely written. i am merely waiting for players.

regardless of all, still proud to be an American, but prouder still to want Dubya's head on a pike.

my novel is proceeding at a pace not unlike that of molasses.

my comic book is slower still.

got addicted to ebay for a bit (i purchased CyberPunk books, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for the PS2, Super Mario All-Stars and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES, as well as five X-men comics for two bucks a pop). currently in the market for Time Crisis 2 w/ a GunCon and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

shall pay off my entire credit card debt soon, as well as other debts to certain people.

after some nonsense, will attempt to spend as little as possible between now and Singapore/Tokyo.

visiting California from August 15th to some other day in August that i'm not sure about yet. Sam will accompany me for a weekend. before any of that can happen, however, must first get a new State ID card. this entails finding my birth certificate, as i don't exactly know where it is.

that is all.

stay tuned for 'Hulk' review, as well as another X-post. possibly explaining the entire Jean Grey debacle.

funny

Trinity: When are we gonna find you a girlfriend?

Ghost: Like Augustine, I'm dedicated to higher pursuits.

Trinity: Like what?

Pause.

Ghost: Onanism.

Trinity: Is that why so many saints are blind?

Ghost: Celibacy is a hands-on job.

The Animatrix, for real this time

i have watched all of the of the animated shorts and have to say i am mostly disappointed. some of them are really super good ('A Detective Story,' 'Beyond,' 'World Record,' and 'Program' are the best), but the rest just leave a bad taste in my mouth. actually, 'Kid's Story,' the one that explains how that kid that was following Neo around in the movie awoke, wasn't that bad. really, none of them were (except for Peter Chung's 'Matriculated'; God, that sucked), i was just disappointed. i expected so much more.

all bad-ass with my Link-y goodness

i recently purchased two Zelda games that i've never had the pleasure of playing. one is The Ocarina of Time, the prequel to Majora's Mask (which verily excited my meerkats), for the N64. i've heard nothing but good things about this game from everybody, so i'm looking forward to playing it. the second game is Link's Awakening for the original Nintendo Game Boy. i know what you're saying, "adan, you don't have a Game Boy." this is true. what i do have, however, is a Super Nintendo and a Super Game Boy adaptor. what this beautiful piece of technology is, is a Super Nintendo cartridge that has a hole at the top for Game Boy games. isn't that great? any original Game Boy game that i want to play, i can buy without buying the hardware. my meerkats are dancing in their polyester suits under the spinning, shiny ball going "ah! ah! ah! ah! staying alive, staying alive!" but back to Link's Awakening. i started this game yesterday, and man, it is so cool. everything good that i remember in the original Zelda game, this game has. the only problem so far has been the repeating of certain phrases that a normal person would remember after the first time. instead, the game treats me like a retarded three-year old and repeats these phrases ad naseum. oh, well, the game still kicks ass.
