3 down, 5 to go
i am done with my Writing New York paper. this was probably the easiest one seeing as how it was about The Dark Knight Returns. there are two papers left, one due on Wednesday and the last on the Monday after that (the day before graduation). my three finals are also on those days: two on Wednesday and the last on the Monday. it's so close, i can taste it.
an excerpt from this paper:
No, Batman and Robin were not fellating each other when no one was looking, but Batman and the Joker could have been if they did not hate each others guts.

holy Hell this is one damn funny show! i have just watched my first two episodes and i think i have found the best damn show on TV! in case you are wondering, the episodes i watched were the one where David Cross guests as a dancing action figure that depresses the hell out of Meatwad and the one where Shake makes a bunch of pop-ups come out in their house. that Frylock is one understanding dude. okay, Batman-paper writing time.

that's not entirely true. i finished my World War II paper on Sunday night and turned that in on Monday. i am currently working on my American Fiction paper. that leaves three more papers and three finals before i can kiss this school goodbye. i shall endeavor to keep you, my faithful readers updated.
and now, a quote from my World War II paper. enjoy:
[Saturation bombing] continued [in Japan] until the end of the war, even after Dresden had been bombed in Germany. “American newspapers referred to the attacks [in Europe] as ‘deliberate terror bombing’” (Thompson 351). And yet, American policy in Japan was to “‘simply… increase the terror’” (351).

graduatin' stuff
not that i'm fishing for gifts or anything (tugs on collar), but if any of you decide that you want to get me a little something for graduating, i would like to make my preference known for The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell, The Anxiety of Influence by Harold Bloom, and/or The Role of the Reader by Umberto Eco.
it turns out, i might actually enjoy the literary theory.
also, any recommendations on any other good lit theory texts (Hal, Evo) would be much appreciated.
